ZEROTRADE

The main objective of the ZEROTRADE project is to jointly develop, test and disseminate an innovative and effective governance model where public bodies become drivers for Low Carbon Economy implementing actions to reduce CO2 emissions in the Trade Sector. CO2 emissions will be reduced by improving environmental preformance of retail outlets, reducing emissions in retail´s sale and procurement systems and improving quality of goods to be sold.

Ecoacquisti Trentino: A voluntary agreement between the Autonomous Province of Trento and retailers to reduce CO2 emissions in the Trade Sector . The “Eco-purchases” brand enables consumers to know those “virtuous” outlets where make sensible purchases to reduce waste and to favour a better recycling. The “Eco-purchases” award is subject to a rigorous procedure.This award is given by the “Eco-purchase” Provincial Committee, upon the positive result of the inspection of the mandatory and optional actions provided in the Agreement in each sales outlet.

The main objective of the Last Minute Market is to reduce food and goods waste through the valorisation of unsold goods to have positive environmental and social impact. The project was developed as a research project of the University of Bologna to analyse all the steps of the agricultural supply chain and to identify where and why goods waste arise.
